Coming to Puy Mary
Are you determined to come and see the grandiose landscapes offered by the Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal? There are several ways to come and visit us: by car, by train, by plane and even by bike.
By car
Friends motorhome owners, access to Puy Mary via the Pas de Peyrol is subject to traffic regulations because of the roads that do not allow crossing. Please remember to take note of them.
Please note that the access roads to Pas de Peyrol are closed from 1ᵉʳ November to 1ᵉʳ May.

The Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal is accessible from several stations:
- Aurillac
- Murat (Via Aurillac and Clermont-Ferrand)
- Le Lioran (Via Aurillac and Clermont-Ferrand)
By plane
Several airports provide access to the Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal :
- Aurillac-Tronquières : From-To Ajaccio, Castres, Paris-Orly.
- Rodez-Aveyron : From-To Paris-Orly, Great Britain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Balearic Islands, Jordan.
- Clermont-Ferrand : From-To Ajaccio, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly, Heraklion, Porto.
By bike
The GTMC (Grande Traversée du Massif central) by mountain biking allows you to travel 1380 km from Burgundy to the Mediterranean Sea by bike. This route passes through the Lioran station. In addition, the Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal is an ideal playground for cyclists with the possibility of cycling through the Cantal volcano with the help of Pierre’s bike escapades, for example. It is also 5 mountain bike routes labeled by the French Cycling Federation.
