Credit Agricole check remittance
This afternoon, the Crédit Agricole Centre France foundation presented the Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal with a check for €13,000 for its support of the agropastoral sector.
The overall project carried out by the Grand Site du Puy Mary around agropastoralism consists of the desire to reclaim lost spaces and to reintegrate them into the agropastoral approach. The stakes are obviously agricultural – more surface area available for breeders – and landscape-related, as this reconquest is inevitably accompanied by the reopening of the landscape.
To this end, the Syndicat Mixte du Puy Mary, in partnership with the pastoral service of Auvergne Estives and the Parc des Volcans d’Auvergne, initiated a pastoral survey on its territory that took place throughout the year 2020.
This study led the Puy Mary to work towards the creation of a collective ovine estive aiming on the one hand to mobilize the breeders invested in the approach on the local level and also aiming to structure the sector for a better consideration of their activity.
In addition to this flagship operation comes the project of requalification of watering points. It consists in creating or renovating watering points on all the areas of the territory of the Grand Site where the resource is scarce.
