Redevelopment of the Pertus Pass
The Col du Pertus (1309m) joins the Jordanne and Cère valleys at the Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal. It is a very busy road pass, especially in the summer period, as it is the starting point for many activities. This pass located between l’Elancèze and Puy de l’Usclade did not offer any landscaping or well-marked parking areas.
Project
Because of its high traffic and location, many visitors to the Grand Site de France Puy Mary – Volcan du Cantal stop at the Col du Pertus.
The parking area, which until now was on the roadside without being marked out, has been moved to the west of the pass and will be inserted into the slope. The road over the pass will be recalibrated to be less present.
3 interpretation trails will be created and will start from the parking area.
